A night of drinking can be fun for some. A time with friends and family, getting a little tipsy. Most do not think of what the next morning will be like after pushing back five plus alcoholic beverages. Rolling over the next morning and your eyes are light sensitive, your head is pounding with a headache, you feel weak and dehydrated, your stomachs in knots and you might be sick. While there is no miracle medicine or action to take to get rid of your hangover there are many different things you can do to help make yourself feel better faster than letting the hangover run its coarse.

Drink Lots of Water

Alcohol is a diuretic so you easily become dehydrated from a night of drinking. Drinking a lot of water of a beverage with electrolytes you will rehydrate yourself and rid your body of the chemicals and toxins from alcohol use by flushing your system.

Eat Healthy

A well balanced meal the next morning can help improve the way you feel. Eating junk food full of grease can make you feel weak and upset your stomach further. Having a breakfast full of protein will increase energy and help rid your body of the alcohol

Take Your Vitamins

Alcohol depletes your body of vitamins A, B and C. Taking your vitamins first thing in the morning can help you feel better faster and allow your body to metabolize the alcohol at a fast rate.

Take a Pain reliever

While it is not advised to take Tylenol or other acetaminophen medications you can find relief in Motrin or an ibuprofen medication. You will be able to kick the headache and start feeling better.

Rest

Getting a lot of rest will help relive feelings of fatigue and allow you to sleep off your hangover. So if you can candle plans for the nest day and spend it in your pj’s laying on the couch.
