This Tampa, Florida treatment facility places an emphasis on the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of the whole person encouraging “Recovery Through Responsibility.”

treatment-turning-point-tampaBoth men and women, 18 years of age or older, are able to receive affordable treatment at Turning Point of Tampa, Inc through a wide array of licensed 30-Day Residential, Extended Residential, Day/Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient Services. Chemical dependency programs at Turning Point of Tampa are designed to treat both alcohol and drugs, including prescription medications and street drugs such as heroin.

Using a 12 Step-based addiction treatment approach that is emotionally focused, clients are offered a wide array of treatment services including: Acupuncture, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical (DBT), Psychodrama, Psychological testing and evaluation, and motivational interviewing.

Turning Point of Tampa, Inc is aware of the importance of including family into the treatment process. This is why the facility provides, every other month therapeutic family weekends, as well as therapist-guided free aftercare on Wednesday nights for all of their Alumni.

The facility also offers many extras to client such as: On-site yoga, acupuncture, biofeedback, massage, volleyball and basketball courts and access to an off-site gym, movie nights and karaoke competitions.

Accommodations and Food

acc-turning-point-tampaTurning Point of Tampa, Inc consists of what they call a “village residences”, a residential setting on one campus, within 50 feet of the therapy office. Clients are offered private and semi-private rooms based on their personal needs and availability. Four clients share a two-story duplex, each with cable television, telephones, answering machines, full kitchens and laundry facilities within the apartment.

The treatment model is based around developing life skills, with learning how to manage meal times as a focal point of this. Clients are able to take supervised trips to the grocery store, purchasing their own foods. Clients are encouraged to plan and prepare their own meals within their apartment kitchen. A behavioral Technician will be there to help the client as needed in part of the life skills training process.

Cost and Accepted Insurances

The facility provides cost effective detox, residential, day and intensive outpatient treatment at $11,000 (30 days). Turning Point of Tampa, Inc is in network with most major medical insurances.
