The Big Book

The Big Book was written by Wlison, one of the founding members of the group Alcoholics Anonymous. This book offers alcoholics with inspiration and tools needed to maintain through sobriety, continuing on the path of recovery without relapse.

When entering into the twelve step program within the big book each member is admitting that they are powerless over alcohol and need help from a “higher power” to successfully recovery. This is a faith-based self help group that through prayer and meditation members can find guidance and strength through God or their Higher Power.

The big book pushes those in recovery to take ownership for their mistakes while under the influence of alcohol. To change themselves for the better. To many amends to those who have been harmed by their drinking and to live those amends throughout their recovery. They are also to help through who are seeking to recover themselves by sharing their own experiences, where they have found strength and to offer hope.

The Other Half OF The Big Book

The other half of the big book includes personal recovery stories of men and women who have joined Alcoholics Anonymous and worked through their addiction in a healthy, safe and spiritual way. This offers those today working through their own recovery some inspiration that they will too be able to successfully maintain their sobriety.
